Fifth edition of a competition “PRactice abroad” („PRaktykuj za granica”) organized by Institute of Media Monitoring (IMM) has come to an end. Laureates of the competition are: Alicja Buczkowska, Karolina Brzuska and Kornelia Korzec. In reward they will undergo trainings in the renowned PR agencies in London and Brussels: Fleishman-Hillard, Hill&Knowlton and Weber Shandwick.

At the end of May 2008, Institute of Media Monitoring (IMM) bought majority stake in Romanian media monitoring company – MediaTrust S.R.L. Integration process of the two companies has lasted for several months therefore IMM renders available the information from Romanian as well as Polish media on one Internet platform. IMM technology will be fully implemented to the acquired company by the end of August 2008.

The winner of the April ranking of "Poland's most opinion-making media", compiled by IMM, is Dziennik. The weeklies of opinion, as well as radio and TV stations are in a strong position, whereas there are no tabloids in the ranking.

Finalists of the 5th edition of „PRaktykuj za granicą” have already been revealed. To the final stage of the competition have qualified seven students who came up with the most interesting ideas for a new communications strategy of „Mimo Wszystko”, Anna Dymna’s foundation. The best three of them will be awarded with internship in London and Brussels based PR agencies: Fleishman-Hillard, Hill&Knowlton and Weber Shandwick.

Gazeta Wyborcza has dethroned Dziennik, while the station RMF FM has gone ahead of TVN24 – results of the February report of "Most opinion-shaping media in Poland" by the Institute of Media Monitoring are surprising. The top 10 rankings also include three opinion-forming weeklies, the dominant issues being irregularities in the special services operation and the jamming of nurses' mobile phones.

TVN24 private TV station of news profile caught up with the peloton, daily Rzeczpospolita outdistanced daily Gazeta Wyborcza, and Dziennik holds the ground as the leader.

Starting February 11th, the Institute of Media Monitoring launches a new service– Automatic Internet Monitoring (AMI). It allows for a quick access to on-line publications of users' interest. AMI searches for the materials according to any keywords defined by the user.

The winner of the annual ranking of “The Most Opinion-Making Media in Poland in 2007”, compiled by the Institute of Media Monitoring, is Rzeczpospolita. TVN24 is the leader of TV stations, whereas Radio RMF FM comes top of radio stations.

February 4th opened the fifth edition of public relations competition “PRactise abroad”, run for the first time in collaboration with the “Grasz o staż” program. The project launched by the Institute of Media Monitoring invites all students interested in PR and communication to join in. Traineeships in the offices of Fleishman-Hillard, Hill&Knowlton, Weber Shandwick PR agencies in London and Brussels are the prizes awarded for creating the best communication strategy designed for Anna Dymna's Foundation “Mimo Wszystko”.

The latest report of the Institute of Media Monitoring "The Top Opinion-Shaping Media in Poland" shows that TVN24 was the most frequently quoted TV station in December. On top of the rankings is „Dziennik”, while the most frequently quoted article is a publication of „Polska”.

The Institute of Media Monitoring’s latest report of „Most opinion-shaping media in Poland” has a surprising result on top; Rzeczpospolita is only narrowly ahead of Gazeta Wyborcza. High in the rankings was TVN24 station, which outdid Newsweek weekly. The most opinion-shaping radio station is RMF FM, and the most frequently quoted press publications – articles of Gazeta Wyborcza.

Since September the Institute of Media Monitoring has been monitoring new television and radio stations: TVN CNBC Biznes, TVP3 Kielce, Polskie Radio Kielce, Radio Eska Radom and Radio Plus Radom. As a result, IMM permanently monitors as many as 73 Polish Radio and TV stations.

June's rankings of ‘Poland’s most opinion-making media’, compiled by IMM, brings no changes on the top. ‘Rzeczpospolita’ is still the leader, ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ and ‘Dziennik’ just behind. What is a surprise though is a high 6th position of ‘Fakt’. The rankings have as many as three radio stations: RMF FM, Radio ZET and PR1. To close the list comes Onet.pl portal.

‘Rzeczpospolita’ on top of May’s rankings of „Poland’s most opinion-making media”, compiled by IMM. Second ranked was ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’, third – ‘Dziennik’. The leader of opinion weeklies is ‘Wprost’. ‘Nasz Dziennik’ daily is going up. The 4th edition of the competition 'PRactise abroad' organized by Institute of Media Monitoring (IMM), has been accomplished. The prize-winners of the competition became: Monika Pabijańska, Zbigniew Cichoń and Agnieszka Pietrzak. In the April ranking of "Poland's most opinion-making media", compiled by IMM, Dziennik holds on to its lead. The runner-up is Rzeczpospolita, followed by Gazeta Wyborcza. Wprost comes top of all opinion-making weeklies. Polityka and Nasz Dziennik are back in the Top 15. RMF FM and TVN24 remain most opinion-making of all the radio and TV stations.

In the February ranking of “Poland's most opinion-making media”, compiled by IMM, Dziennik overtakes former leaders – Rzeczpospolita and Gazeta Wyborcza. Thereby, Dziennik- for the second time in the history of IMM's ranking- has climbed up to the top position. Interestingly enough, there are as many as 3 radio stations in the Top 15– RMF FM, PR 1 and Radio ZET. The portal Onet.pl has also returned to the lead. The latest report "Foreign TV stations on Poland” compiled by the Institute of Media Monitoring shows that in March foreign TV stations discussed Poland twice as often as in February. There is a deep rift in the analyzed materials between the positive information about Poles and negative publications about Polish authorities and some aspects of social life.
